My future work is still very much in question, though as a potential new faculty member, I can certainly imagine life as a professor, wherein I am able to utilize new media to facilitate high traffic and high quality of student engagement that prompts deeper learning and application in the long run. In the meantime I will benefit substantially from the opportunities afforded by this course. I will continue to explore the words/labels/concepts/ideas that have previously been floating there aimlessly. I am especially interested in learning more about multi-discipliinary programs around the country.

Just having a conversation about the BBC's word-of-the-month today, "Web 2.0." It's exciting to think about ways to use mobile and Internet technologies in truly interactive and database-driven and dynamic ways. I like to use the term "datagogy." The promise that we're seeing for the future is just a matter of creativity teachers can bring, along with a new understanding, of new media.
